Hi @kellykove,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To ensure your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer is compatible with macOS Sequoia, follow these steps.

Download HP Easy Start: This utility simplifies printer setup and ensures you have the latest drivers.

  • Visit HP's official support page for the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus:
  • Locate and download "HP Easy Start" for macOS.

Install the Software:

  • Open the downloaded "HP Easy Start" file.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software and drivers.

Add the Printer:

  • Ensure your printer is powered on and connected to your Mac via USB or the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Open "System Preferences" on your Mac, then select "Printers & Scanners."
  • Click the "+" button to add a new printer.
  • Select your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus from the list.
  • In the "Use" dropdown menu, choose "HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus" or "HP Officejet 8600 Series."
  • Click "Add" to complete the process.

Update Firmware (if necessary):

  • Return to the HP support page:
  • Check for any firmware updates under the "Firmware" section.
  • If an update is available, download and install it by following the provided instructions.

If you encounter issues during installation, consider resetting the printing system:

  • In "Printers & Scanners," right-click (or Control-click) in the list of devices and select "Reset printing system."
  • This action removes all printers and scanners, allowing you to set them up afresh.

By following these steps, your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus should function seamlessly with macOS Sequoia.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
