I would like to know if the updates proposed in HP support assistant are considered "optional " or if these updates are "critical/ mandatory "; I did a successful BIOS update but I don't know if these updates were already proposed before this update - Device specifications
HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dy1xxx
Product number: 659N7EA#ABZ , INTEL i5 11th gen and IRIS

Hi Irwin,
thank you for your prompt and kind reply.
As far as I understand the downgrade is possible .
At present the last BIOS release I have installed is exactly the Version / data BIOS Inside : F.23/ 25/10/2023
SMBIOS 3.3-controller 65.58 and BIOS UEFI and seems to works fine, so that at present I will do nothing.
--> By the way, beeing the laptop bought by the end of Year 2022 (October 08, 2022), I suppose that the the original BIOS version should be a a previos release of the F.23/ 25/10/2023, Is that right? In the affirmative case could you tell me what was the original BIOS version installed by the end of October 2022?
Have a nice day, Gianfranco

Hi @JO55551,
Unfortunately, there will be no information as to what BIOS version goes with the unit when it is purchased.
The drivers available for your windows 11 are valid even if the version of windows is updated.
