I have always had a problem with loading system updates. since I bought this laptop I have had to have support take control and get the intel rapid storage driver to install. now it will not update any important updates. I tried contacting support but they said they would do a system restore to factory settings. so I set up a call back time for them to do that. WELL I got no callback. but 2 days later I got a call to see if everything was fixed ok. To make a long story short I did a system restore to factory settings and the important updates STILL WILL NOT LOAD. it gets to the part where it says it is installing them and it justs does nothing. I can not even hit the stop button I have to do  a stop program in the task manager. but the funny thing is it will install the less important updates....  Anyone suggestions??

Hi,

Can you provide the exact product or model number of the notebook for further help. Here is how to find it (not serial)

Model number

Let me know,

OK.

First, I would update the BIOS, if you have not already done so.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-15-da0000-laptop-pc/20395828/model/221...

Next, update Windows 10 to the latest version. In the link to Microsoft Page click on Update now

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Then, once you have updated to the latest version, let Windows completely update by going into Settings > Update&Security > click on  Verify for updates and let it completely update, you might need to reboot a couple of times.

Then open HP support assistant and update the HP drivers.

Hope it helps,

David
