Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP pavillon 15-ab 262nr laptop's single HDMI port was recently fried from a power surge  and my 2nd external monitor hp compaq  is on but signal no longer detected by my laptop.   The external monitor is detected by other laptops so it is working.  I can also use all my USB ports.    I purchased an HDMI adapter with USB plug to use for my monitor but it's not working.  I need a correct USB 3.0 hub with HDMI ports. Please help suggest the best compatible hub to use.
