usb flash drive
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i have a usb flash drive with data saved as bin.  I want to open it on my hp windows 10 computer but it asks me what file I want to use to open it and I do not know.   can you help me

A file with an extension of .bin means a BINARY file -- and in Windows that is most commonly used with BIOS software.

 

If you saved it yourself, then you used the wrong extension -- as running BIOS software on a file you got yourself is a sure-fire way to turn your PC into an "electric brick"!

I was trying to download my files from a previous computer so I could access them from my new computer  the old one was windows 7 and the new one is windows 10   what file extension should I use
