Seems I'm facing the same slow issues with my new HP ENVY - 17m-bw0013dx, not sure why this computer can run well for 1 week and than everything starts get slow again, i have already recovered it 3 times in 3 months and i aready sent it once to be repaired at HP service support, actually I'm very disapointed due i had invest a hight amount of money and specially my time looking for a solution for this problem.
The starnge problem is that everytime i restart this computer it takes 30 minutes to start the windows and very slow afterwards, i was thinking it maybe be some sofwares i have installed, so I give up intalling applications and I had tried run it just for internet browsing for 1 week, and for my surprise the problem back again. Unfortunate all the help in this forum which is greatly appreciated was unable to help me. 😞

@Costanic
Thank you for posting on HP Support Community
I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Let's perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: (this will update system software driver and performance enhancement)
To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.
- To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon
.
- Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
- Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
- Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
- Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
- Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
And, also update BIOS: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
