These 2 processes are using alot of cpu power, they use 20% to 50% of the cpu in task manger, HP audio switch uses alot of power, or battery life.

I understand 2 processes on your PC is using a lot of CPU usage on your PC.
Don't worry I'd like to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
Please try the steps recommended below.
Right click sound icon -> playback devices -> Select device -> properties -> go to enhancement tab -> disable all enhancements.
Save changes, restart your PC and check if it helps.
Hit Win Key + R
Type in “Regedit” and then hit Enter.
Go to ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management’
Find ‘ClearPageFileAtShutDown’ and change its value to 1
Restart the computer
Right click on “Computer” icon and select “Properties”
Select “Advanced System settings”
Go to the “System properties”
Select “Settings”
Choose “Adjust for best performance” and “Apply”.
Click “OK” and Restart your computer.

I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.
Yes, there will not be any difference in audio quality and battery performance.
So you don't have to worry. Try the steps and it should improve the performance of your laptop.

@Adaptix, It's been great to hear from you again.
I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.
As you mentioned you don't see enhancement tab on your PC.
If you don't see you don't have to worry just continue with the rest of the steps recommended and check if it helps.
Also, I would suggest try updating the audio drivers on your PC using HP support assistant.
Refer this article to know how to use HP support assistant.
