@DevGupta878113, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Since your HP Victus 15-fa1000 is brand new and you're seeing a "Your laptop ran into a problem and needs to restart" (aka a blue screen error or BSOD) only when gaming while charging, here’s a clear step-by-step approach to resolve the issue.
Check for Updates (BIOS, GPU, Windows)
- Open HP Support Assistant (or download it here - HP Support Assistant | HP® Support).
- Check for BIOS, system firmware, and driver updates.
- Update both NVIDIA/AMD GPU drivers and Intel integrated GPU drivers from:
https://support.hp.com (search your model: 15-fa1000)
Update Windows
- Press Win + I > Windows Update > Check for updates.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press Esc repeatedly on startup, then press F2 for System Diagnostics.
- Run:
- System Test (Extensive)
- Memory Test
- Thermal Test
Change Power Plan Settings
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Select High Performance or HP Recommended.
- Click Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings.
- Under Processor power management > Set Minimum processor state to 5% on battery and 100% when plugged in.
- Set System cooling policy to Active.
Disable Fast Startup
- Win + R > type powercfg.cpl > Choose "What the power buttons do" > Change settings > Uncheck "Turn on fast startup" > Save.
Try Gaming on Battery Only:
- If the crash only happens while charging, try gaming on battery to isolate the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
