Hi @ra-graham,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If Windows Updates continuously prompts you to download and install the same Intel Extension update (version 2.1.10103.24), it could be due to several reasons. Here's how you might resolve this issue.

Restart Your Computer: A simple restart can often resolve update loops or errors. Ensure everything is closed properly, and then restart your laptop.

Delete Temporary Files: This can clear any cached installation files that might be causing issues. You can do this by:

  • Typing "Disk Cleanup" in the Windows search bar and selecting it.
  • Choose your system drive (usually C:).
  • Check the "Temporary files" option and click "OK" to delete them.

Manually Install the Update:

  • Visit the Intel Driver & Support Assistant to download and install the latest version of Intel updates manually.
  • Alternatively, go to the HP Support website to find the appropriate driver update for your laptop model.

Hide the Update: If the repeated update install prompts persist, you can hide the update to prevent it from showing up:

  • Download the Microsoft "Show or Hide Updates" troubleshooter from the Microsoft website.
  • Run the tool and follow the instructions to hide the specific update.

Check Windows Update Troubleshooter:

  • Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Troubleshoot".
  • Select "Additional troubleshooters" and then choose "Windows Update".
  • Follow the prompts to let the troubleshooter identify and fix problems.

Update Windows: Ensure your Windows itself is up to date. Sometimes, installing pending updates can resolve issues with other updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
