ı cant do hashtag

the hashtag key on keyboard is not working even though my two other keys 3 and ^  functioning. what could be the reason ? I have tried everything recommended by HP Support but it did not work

Check Keyboard Language Settings:

• Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region, and ensure that the keyboard layout matches your region (e.g., English - US or UK). If the wrong layout is selected, it might be causing the hashtag key to behave differently.

Try an On-Screen Keyboard:

• Use the On-Screen Keyboard by typing "On-Screen Keyboard" in the search bar.
• Test the hashtag key using the on-screen keyboard. If it works there, the issue might be with your physical keyboard hardware.

Keyboard Driver Update:

• Open Device Manager, expand Keyboards, right-click your keyboard driver, and choose Update driver.
• Restart your laptop to see if the issue resolves. If updating doesn’t help, you could also try uninstalling the driver and rebooting the system to reinstall it.

Check for Sticky Keys or Accessibility Settings:

• Go to Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard and ensure that features like Sticky Keys, Toggle Keys, or Filter Keys are turned off, as these might interfere with the regular functioning of your keyboard.

Test in Safe Mode:

• Restart the laptop in Safe Mode and check if the hashtag key works there. If it functions correctly in Safe Mode, a software conflict or third-party application might be causing the issue.
