HP EliteBook 1040 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

We have been upgrading machines in our office to the current version of Windows 10, this would be version 2004.  The laptop is a HP EliteBook 1040 G3, it sits in the "2013 Docking station" while in the office.  In this office, they have the Microsoft Wireless display adapter on a TV in their office(Widi/Mirrorcast device). With Windows 10 1909, this all worked perfectly, she was able to kit Windows Key + K and connect her monitor to her Microsoft adapter on her TV and run a meeting on 1 display.

So, I took this laptop, and rebuilt it, Windows 10 2004, EVERY current driver from HP's page, bios, firmware, etc.  When in the dock now, hit "Windows key + K", it will show 1 random HP monitor and will say on the bottom "Connect to WIFI to see more connections" , refreshing shows the same single HP monitor. Remove network cable from the dock, or remove laptop from the dock will show all wireless display connections and connect fine.

I have tried every driver update on HP's site for this laptop and firmware update with no luck. The laptop spec is respectable and runs fairy good so there is no plans to replace it at this time. Needing to pull the laptop out of the dock to use it is also unacceptable.

I needed to roll this user back to 1909. This a problem because it's going to be an outdated Windows soon and we want to have everyone on the current OS. This is the ONLY 2004 issue I have found in 25 custom applications and odd ball laptops.

Is there any fix for this issue and going forward ?

Mods can you move this over to business laptops, as that is what this is and maybe more people in there have seen this issue.

Thank you.
