I just received my laptop from HP, whilst I was setting it up I had found out that 120hz is not showing up as a refresh rate option even though on their website it says my laptop supports 120hz. It also says it had HDR, but it is greyed out.

How do you connect them ? What is the resolution of your monitor ? Does your monitor support 120Hz ?
The specs of your machine is a combination of the following list:

It has HDMI 2.1 port which supports 4K @ 120Hz (with a right HDMI cable)

For HDR, depending on its screen (internal) option as mentioned on its specs.
Regards.
