Microsoft Windows 11

I've tried all of the basics, but recently my touchpad has stopped working while in Windows. It DOES work in the BIOS screen, etc, however.  I have tried updating drivers, including optional updated in Windows update, and nothing solves it. I've tried all variations on enabling/disabling/uninstalling the touchpad. Error and Device Manager screenshot below.

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

The device returned an invalid HID descriptor.

No new Windows 11 drivers for the series at all. Please download and install old driver

Hope this helps

I will try, but the touchpad has worked with Windows 11 up until yesterday, out of nowhere. I'll report back. Thanks!

I downloaded and ran the exe file as recommended. It didn't ask for a reboot or anything but I did just in case, but on reboot the error remains. Please let me know if there was another step I missed.

Also, as a reminder, the touchpad works fine in BIOS, but not in Windows.

I would love any other suggestions you might have, or an order of operations of what I might need to disable/uninstall, etc BEFORE installing that driver.

I've already done it but perhaps I need to perform certain other tasks to make it work? It works in BIOS but not in Windows 11.

I would love any suggestions you might have. The touchpad works in BIOS but not Windows, so it is not a hardware problem. I've reinstalled Windows TWICE.

Thanks,

Jason

Do I just click on the exe and let it install itself? Are there other steps? Nothing is working.
