I plan to purchase a HP EliteDisplay S14 FHD IPS Portable Monitor, however it says that "Video over USB-C™ requires a device with USB-C™ DisplayPort™ Alt mode or Thunderbolt™."
Now If I'm right my laptops model USB-C is only data transfer.
How would I go about powering and making the EliteDisplay work with my laptop?
Could I get 3-in-1 USB-C Adaptor, and convert USB-C to HDMI, as well as powering my monitor through the USB C on the adaptor?

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05834513
It has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s) port that means you can only use it as other USB ports, it only has different shape.

No, this won't work.
