HP Pavilion x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-er0000 (23T70AV)

I  see that this question has been asked before. Has anyone changed the glass on a 15-ER laptop. I have changed the whole assy but never just the glass. I watched a few videos on YouTube but they were kinda vague. i was hoping someone might be able to give me a few pointers. the cost of a new assy and the cost of just the glass is a big difference. I am just not sure what kind of job its going to be. changing the frame and digitizer and LCD on to new glass.  THANX

Hello.

Your laptop Maintenance and Service Guide has instructions for removing the panel from the display assembly. Doesn't look too difficult to me, though I have never replaced the display on this particular model.

The Maintenance manual does not show how to remove the LCD and frame from the Touch glass. It shows how to remove the touch controller but not the glass. I watched a few videos on YouTube and the process seemed very tedious. It might be better just to order the whole assy then to try and save money to change the glass

Hello again,

my bad, I misunderstood.

I've done my share of laptop repairs in the past, but I never dealt with the display components, so can't help you there.

Might also be possible to hunt down a dead (and cheap) 15-ER laptop with the display intact. Good luck!
