Hi, I have a laptop
HP ENVY x360 - 13-ag0003ng (Black)
product number: 4AX62EA#ABD
S/N: [personal info removed]
and since I installed windows 11 pro, vertical scrolling with 2 fingers from the touchpad doesn't work, but only works from the touchscreen. !!!
The drivers are all updated. From testing with HP PC Hardware Diagnostic Windows, the touchpad doesn't seem to support 2-finger scrolling at all.
I probably did something wrong, can anyone help me?

Hi @Davide_Rodry,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like the two-finger scrolling on your HP ENVY x360 - 13-ag0003ng touchpad isn't functioning after installing Windows 11 Pro. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Check Touchpad Settings:
- Open Settings: Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.
- Devices: Go to Devices > Touchpad.
- Scroll and Zoom: Ensure that the "Scroll and zoom" section has "Drag two fingers to scroll" enabled.
2. Update or Reinstall Touchpad Drivers:
- Device Manager: Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Human Interface Devices: Locate I2C HID Device or Synaptics/ELAN Touchpad.
- Update Driver:
- Right-click on the touchpad device and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Reinstall Driver:
- If updating doesn’t work, right-click on the touchpad device and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
3. Install Precision Touchpad Drivers:
- Download Driver: Download the Synaptics or ELAN Precision touchpad driver from the HP support website.
- Install Driver: Run the downloaded installer and follow the prompts to install the driver.
- Enable Precision Touchpad:
- Open Settings and go to Devices > Touchpad.
- Ensure the touchpad settings are configured correctly.
4. Adjust Registry Settings:
- Open Registry Editor: Press Windows + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
- Navigate to:
- Check Values:
- Ensure that Scroll and other related values are set correctly.
- If unsure, do not change anything and proceed with caution, as incorrect changes can affect system stability.
5. HP Support Assistant:
- Download and Install: If not already installed, download the HP Support Assistant from the HP website.
- Run Diagnostics: Use the tool to check for any driver updates or hardware issues.
6. BIOS/UEFI Settings:
- Access BIOS/UEFI:
- Restart your laptop and press Esc or F10 during startup to enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
- Check Touchpad Settings:
- Look for any touchpad-related settings and ensure they are enabled.
- Save and Exit: Save any changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI settings.
7. Roll Back to Previous Driver:
- Device Manager: Go to Device Manager.
- Touchpad Device: Right-click on the touchpad device and select Properties.
- Driver Tab: Go to the Driver tab and select Roll Back Driver if available.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
