Hello! I purchased the HP Spectre x360 16 inch. Its lovely but I did notice the haptic touchpad does not vibrate in the middle of the left and right click bar. Vibration is on max and works towards the far left and right but as i get closer towards the middle of the bar the haptic feeling disappears. Is that how its supposed to be or should I take it in for warranty?

Hi @Rogue722,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Touchpad Settings:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
- Make sure that the haptic feedback settings are configured to your preference. Since you've already mentioned setting it to maximum, ensure this setting is saved correctly.
Update Touchpad Drivers:
- Use the HP Support Assistant to check for any updates or patches specifically for the touchpad drivers.
- Alternatively, visit the HP Drivers Page for your model to ensure you have the latest drivers installed.
Test on Different Applications:
- Check if the issue persists across different applications or tasks to rule out software-specific inconsistencies.
Hardware Considerations:
- It's relatively uncommon for the haptic feedback to vary significantly across different sections of the touchpad, but some variance can exist based on design.
- If the feedback completely disappears at certain parts, it could be indicative of a hardware issue.
I hope this helps.
