Product: HP 255 15.6 inch G10 Notebook PC (78U76AV)
This is a fresh OS install. Brand new laptop. BIOS upgraded to the most recent version - F.10. All applicable drivers downloaded from the HP support page for the product via the HP installation manager.
Pressing the respective keyboard buttons F2/F3 brings up the floating brightness slider and it moves up and down.
However the brightness stays the same no matter what.
Manually adjusting via Windows settings->Display->Brightness also does nothing.
I've tried hard resetting the laptop >15 seconds power button hold. Didn't help.
Behavior unchanged by being on battery or charger.
