Hello - I am connecting three external monitors to my 840 G6 via a USB C docking station. I also switch off the screen of th laptop so that there are only three monitors active at any point in time. Two of the external monitors work fine. The resolution on the third one, however, drops significantly. When I try to go back to higher resolution, it does not offer the option of 1920 x 1080. Research on line tells me that this model of notebook does support 3 monitors, so why then is it not working.

My monitors are samsung and have HDMI connection. The same three monitors and docking station combination works fine with my Lenovo 9i laptop. Appreciate your help and advise.

What is your dock ? Is it compatible with your HP Elitebook 840 G6 machine ?

Regards.
