Product: HP 14-cf2000 Laptop PC (552L9AV)

So my sons mom gave him a 14 inch HP laptop a couple months back. The laptop isnt remarkable at all I have it set up to run SNES emulators and roblox for him. yesterday the laptop crashed. Now when i go to turn it on it doest post and i get a 5 slow blink 3 fast blink error code on the CAPLK light. Ive been on hps support community all morning and its says to do a hard reset which i tried and it didnt work. My guess from experience is its a bad ram. From the HP supportt website I can download the Diagnostics eufi , which gets set up in the BIOs. I wondering if it will harm my actual pc if it ran it from my pc as a remote pc?

In general it is a damage to the BIOS, follow the steps in the following link
