ProBook 6570b
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello dear readers,

i am the proud owner of an HP 6570b. This Model has an dedicated graphic card, Radeon HD 7570m i think. But i cannot turn it on and use it.

i reinstalled Windows 10 and now it is only possible to use the internal Intel HD4000.

If i use the detection utility from Radeon it does not find the graphic card. It only shows me the Intel one.

If i install the driver from the HP Website an error occurs while installation. The error says the install manager cannot be installed.

If i install the driver from the AMD Website the same error occurs.

When i look in the Windows device Manager there are two devices wich are not recocgniced by the system

1) Code 28

undefined

Is there something i have to install also? Why is WIndows not finding the driver by itself as usual? Would it be an solution using windows 8?

greetings

Chris

As suspected the first one is the JMicron Media card reader and the HPQ6000 is the hard drive accelerometer or 3D Drive Guard...these drivers are available on your Model support page. They are not video devices.

That screenshot is too small to make out what is going on. Have you ever actually seen the Radeon HD video card in operation? Because that model was offered with Intel only or switchable video options.

i made the shot bigger, hopefully better now.

I think, before i reinstalled the OS, to remember seen the Catalyst sign in the status bar.

How can i determine if there is a Graphiccard, before purchasing i thought everyone got it...

the Config ID is A1029D1102 if it helps

Fortunately I do read German so I can tell you the first device is a memory card reader...base system device. The second device does not appear to be a video card but hard to tell. Click for details and get device ID of each device and we can be sure.

No as I said not all 6570b models had a dedicated video card.
