HP 700 Rechargeable Multi Pen
Microsoft Windows 11

I purchased a OmniBook X Flip LaptopNGAI 16-as0023dx and the recommended accessory was the HP 700 Rechargeable Multi Pen. I am not able to connect to it via bluetooth.  It is fully charged, and I have put it in pairing mode, but I don't even see it as an option to connect to. what am I missing here? I've made sure windows was fully updated.

Hi @jonyfred,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It seems you're having trouble connecting your HP 700 Rechargeable Multi Pen to your HP OmniBook X Flip Laptop. Here are some steps you can follow to try and resolve this issue:

Verify Compatibility:

  • Ensure the HP 700 Rechargeable Multi Pen is compatible with your HP OmniBook X Flip Laptop. You can usually find this information in the pen's manual or product page on the HP support site.

Correct Pairing Procedure:

  • Make sure that you are following the correct steps to put the pen into pairing mode. Typically, this involves pressing and holding the power button on the pen until the LED starts blinking, indicating it's in pairing mode.

Bluetooth Settings:

  • Open your laptop’s Bluetooth settings and ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
  • Check if the pen appears under "Bluetooth & other devices".

Proximity and Interference:

  • Keep the pen close to the laptop during pairing and ensure there are no major electronic interferences.

Driver Updates:

  • Check for any specific updates regarding the pen drivers or the laptop’s Bluetooth drivers on the HP support website, Official HP® Support or through Windows Update.

Reset Bluetooth Module:

  • Toggle your Bluetooth off and back on. You can also try restarting your laptop to reset the Bluetooth module.

Remove Obstructions and Other Devices:

  • Disconnect other Bluetooth devices that may interfere with the connection.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
