Dear HP Community
I have problem with my dual VGA AMD on HP-15 BA026AX.
My laptop specs is AMD A10-9600P with VGA AMD Radeon R5 (Dedicated) and AMD Radeon R7 M340 (Linked).
When I tried for playing games such as Dota 2, FPS results seems so bad. Only 30-35 max whether I setting it on High, Medium even lowest nothing happens for FPS results. And when I use it for Autocad 2016, graphic respons is very slow and lags.
I have setting it Radeon additional setting with High Performance for some programme but still nothing happens. I already reinstall AMD driver more than 3 times with using AMD Cleanup utility for unistall and reinstall AMD driver again update with newest version but still nothing change. And lastly I have newest update for Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, but nothing happens. I go to HP Service center and it seems technicians don't understand about this problems and only said its software problem but they didn't said what software that have problems.
I hope somebody could tell me what should I do because I really dissapointed with the performance of this laptop.
PLEEEEEAAAASEEEEEE TELL ME WHAT TO DO?????:smileysad:
Below is capture from AMD Crimson for my laptops specs

Hi! @Prasetya, I am the MrRobot. It looks like you were interacting with @Dvortex, but he is out of the office today so I'll take over from here.
Kudos to you for trying out the steps.
As you mentioned the highest FPS that you get is 34max.
The FPS differs from application to application, I have checked the benchmarks of AMD Radeon™ R7 M440 Graphics from notebookcheck.net.
Refer the benchmark reviews from notebookcheck.net more information.
Hope this helps!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂

Hello, @Prasetya – Greetings!
Welcome to the HP Forum! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.
I see that you are getting a low FPS while playing the games such as Dota 2. Did you check the performance while plugging the power adapter? The issue that you are facing might be while the battery is unplugged. If so, please try the steps mentioned below:
- Go to Control panel - Power options
- Now click on the "Change plan settings" next to the selected power plan.
- Click on "Change advanced power settings".
- Now, expand the "Graphics settings".
- Make sure the "Maximum performance" is selected on both battery & plugged in options.
- Apply the settings, restart your notebook and then check the performance.
- I would also recommend you to check the other settings under the advanced power options settings if the issue still persists.
Alternatively, check this forum thread discussing a similar issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2h4Zdf-BXU
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
Happy Gaming 🙂

Hello, @Prasetya
Thanks for the update & appreciate your efforts 🙂
I did some digging online and I have few steps that you can try to fix the issue:
1) DirectX:
DirectX is an application programming interface (API) required to run games. To ensure DirectX is updated on your system, useMicrosoft's DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer.
2) Clean install the driver software.
Make sure to reboot your PC after each step:
- Uninstall instructions for AMD Radeon Software: GPU-629
- Install instructions for AMD Radeon Software: GPU-628
- Uninstall instructions for AMD Catalyst™ Drivers: GPU-57
- Install instructions for AMD Catalyst Drivers: GPU-507
Let me know if that helps!
Cheers 🙂

Dear DVortex
I have tried your suggestion and still it didn't works. Only get same results like before. I think AMD for this versions capability only get this much.
Could you tell me average FPS for DOTA 2 results if I use this AMD A10-9600P with R5 dedicated graphics and R7 M340 linked graphics?

Hello, @Prasetya
Thanks for the reply!
The average FPS optimal to Dota2 is between 40-50
You can try playing a different game and check. Maybe the issue is only specific to one game.
Also, try to disable the turbo mode and check. Here's a video on how to disable the "turbo mode" that causes this issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2h4Zdf-BXU
For more assistance, please check a similar HP Forums post (Resolved): http://hp.care/2jlu0Wp
Hope that helps!
Have a great day 🙂

Dear Dvortex
Thanks for your reply
I have follow your suggestion for setting Turbo Mode based from Youtube link, but still nothing happens. And my adaptor and battery don't have any problem because this laptop is recently buy around 6 days ago.
This is capture for DOTA 2 setting I used
As you can see in FPS on top right corner, the result of FPS is 17. I used it with power connect to laptop. Highest FPS I get is 34 max, and lowest is 8 FPS. For other game like Sonic All Star Racing Transformed get same result.
It's still hopeless ...
But thanks for your reply
