Hi All,
I have had this strange AMD Radeon driver and software issue on my laptop for years now. Occasionally I will try to open the AMD Radeon Software app but get this error message: "Radeon Software and Driver versions do not match. Please try again after updating to the latest version(s)." Then the application will refuse to open , so I uninstall all the drivers and apps and reinstall. It fixes the issue somewhat for about a month, but it comes back after then.
Something else I have noticed is that it recognizes the GPU as a completely different model than what I have (In Task Manager too) right after reinstalling everything. Goes back to correct model in task manager after the drivers break.
Has Been an issue in windows 10 and 11 and even after an ssd upgrade.
Any Ideas how to fix this?
Thanks

Hey @Ub6424
I wasnt aware that a new BIOS firmware had been released recently.
Unfortunately I wont be able to install this update for now because my laptops CPU fan seems to have died, so I wont be able to use it or update it. It hits 86*c just from opening settings. I will report back when I find and install a replacement heat sync and fan assembly and install the updates.
Really bad timing!!
