Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Notebook - 14-bp151sa (Product 3DL72EA / SN [Personal Information Removed]) fails to detect my new AOC CU34P2A monitor.

The AOC monitor is plugged in, set in 'Input One' and the HDMI cable works.  The AOC monitor is not faulty because  I've tested it with my DELL work laptop without  problems - every single time without fail.

I have updated the HP laptop drivers using the HP Support Assistant and tried the Fixes & Diagnostics.  I have also restarted the laptop multiple times, including a hard-reset by pressing the on button for 15 secs.

My old Samsung monitor still works fine with the HP laptop but when I plug in the new AOC monitor nothing happens.

I'd appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks a lot

Hi@Papacaracas,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Notebook the monitor is not getting detected.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try with alternate cables and check if it works fine.
  • Samsung monitor still works fine with the HP laptop so not an issue with the laptop

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
