HP EliteBook 840 G3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I own an HP EliteBook 840 G3 and recently bought an Asus MB168B portable monitor that connects with USB-A port. Upon connecting it to my laptop. The ASUS portable screen lights and shows the ASUS logo then goes blank.  Being that this is a USB device I assume it would work upon plugging it in.

I've been doing some research and I BELIEVE it might be a power issue but I can't get a clear answer. Is this laptop not powerful enough to operate the portable monitor or am I missing something?

Sorry NO, that is our dream but in many cases we have to Plug and Pray. The monitor should work using standard USB 3.0 power. Please install its driver on your computer.

Regards.
