Product: HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg2000 (4U8D7AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I have just got a new HP Pavilion laptop with windows 11 and I was wondering how to get things ive downloaded to my desk top. I know how to pin them to the taskbar but i want them on my desktop. the only way i can seem to do it is by for example, opening Amazon, copy the URL, right clicking the desktop, new shortcut. But is there another way. I have for example downloaded Netflix, but the only option is to pin it to start or task bar.

Normally people wont do that because too crowded on Desktop. But if you wish, you can set Desktop is a default location to save download files. Please use the following way

 

             https://www.makeuseof.com/windows-change-save-location/
