Hi,

I have updated my HP envy as requested by HP Support Assistant to  new F.19 BIOS update and now my laptop is completley unreliable. It randomly crashes with white screen at any given moment. Did all updates to drivers and windows and double checked them. Tried everithing on HP Support Assistant. I tried to roll back BIOS but was not able due to HP software refusing to rollback due to that I'm going back to older version of BIOS. With previous BIOS I was really happy and had no crashes and laptop performed well.  Please help as I need this laptop to do work!

Solved it... Basically the driver for Vega 8 is really bad and crashes constantly with whole system.  Solutions i came up with is to go to device manager and delete Vega 8 display driver, stop from updating back to that driver and use microsoft basic one instead.

I have attached image of the crash. I have also noted that certain video apps can cause this crash or make system slowdown and lag to point of that mouse starts glitching.

Do you still have the BIOS F.19 Version? This is the only one BIOS that can set VRAM to 1GB! I Updated and had same issue then I updated to F.20, good thing is white screen is gone, but the VRAM back to 256GB.

So if you still have BIOS F.19 please send me one thank you. [edit]
