@ace1789,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

A Code 43 error on your AMD Radeon R7 Graphics after a Windows Insider Preview update usually indicates a driver incompatibility or corruption. Here’s how you can fix it.

Roll Back to a Stable Driver

  1. Right-click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Display adapters.
  3. Right-click on AMD Radeon R7 Graphics and select Properties.
  4. Go to the Driver tab and click Roll Back Driver (if available).
  5. Restart your laptop and check if the issue is resolved.

Reinstall the AMD Driver

Uninstall the Current Driver:

  • Open Device Manager > Expand Display adapters.
  • Right-click on AMD Radeon R7 Graphics and select Uninstall device.
  • Check the box for Delete the driver software for this device and click Uninstall.
  • Restart your laptop.

Download & Install the Latest Stable Driver:

  • Visit the AMD Drivers & Support page.
  • Select your AMD Radeon R7 Graphics model and download the latest stable driver.
  • Run the installer and follow the prompts to install the driver.
  • Restart your laptop.

Use AMD Cleanup Utility (If Needed)

If the driver installation still fails:

  1. Download and run the AMD Cleanup Utility from AMD's official site.
  2. This will remove all AMD graphics drivers completely.
  3. Reinstall the latest driver from AMD's website.
  4. Restart your laptop.

Check for Windows Updates

  1. Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  2. Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
  3. Restart your laptop.

Roll Back Windows Insider Preview Update (If All Else Fails)

If the issue persists, the Insider Preview build might not be fully compatible with your AMD GPU. You can roll back to a previous stable version:

  1. Open Settings > Update & Security > Recovery.
  2. Under Go back to the previous version of Windows, click Get started.
  3. Follow the instructions to roll back.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
