An update of Windows 11 somehow removed the Spectre built-in camera driver and despite MS help we were unable to locate any camera driver from the HP support site that would work with Windows 11. Any ideas on where to download the camera driver for the Spectre laptop x360???? The myHP app does not work since it does not show an option for Video Display. Where can the origional driver be found, or what driver collection is it contained in?

@pap12, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the Webcam Driver on HP Spectre x360!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If a Windows update removed your built-in camera driver and you are unable to locate a suitable driver from the HP support site, you can follow these steps to update or reinstall the driver on your HP Spectre x360 laptop:
Use HP Support Assistant:
HP Support Assistant is a tool designed to help you with software and driver updates for HP products. If it's not already installed on your computer, you can download the latest version from the HP Support Assistant website.
To update drivers using HP Support Assistant:
- Open HP Support Assistant from the Start menu or download it from the link above.
- Select your computer from the My Dashboard tab.
- Click on Updates to check for updates, and install any available webcam driver updates.
Perform a Windows Update:
- Ensure your Windows operating system is fully updated, as Windows Update may automatically provide the necessary drivers.
- In Windows, search for and open Check for updates.
- Install any pending updates, especially optional updates, which may include device drivers.
Install the Webcam Driver Manually:
- If the above methods do not work, you can manually update the webcam driver using Device Manager:
- Right-click the Start button and open Device Manager.
- Look for your webcam under Imaging devices (it might be listed as USB Video Device, HP Webcam, HP HD Camera, or similar).
- Right-click the webcam and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
Download Drivers from HP Support Website:
- Visit the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your HP Spectre x360 model number and find the available drivers for your specific model.
- Download and install the appropriate webcam driver from the list.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
