Troubleshooting black screen issues on HP Notebooks: Click here to view the instructions!

HP ProBook 4540s Base Model Notebook PC

I am currently using an HP ProBook 4540s with the following details:

  • Serial Number: [text omitted to protect user privacy]
  • Product Number: A5S82AV
  • OS: Windows 10 Pro

For the past few months, I have been experiencing an intermittent display issue. At times, the screen displays properly, while at other times, it remains black. The display receives power, but no visuals appear.

I consulted a local technician who suggested that the issue may be with the RADEON graphics card. Following their advice, I disabled the graphics card in the Device Manager, but the issue remains unresolved.

Notably, the laptop functions correctly when connected to an external monitor via the VGA port, displaying visuals without any issues.

Could you please assist in identifying the root cause of this issue and provide guidance on how to rectify it?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards
