At times the words/letters get shaky and the screen will flash on and then darken. I usually have to shut the system down and them restart.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve these problems:
1. Update Display Drivers
- Go to the HP Support site.
- Enter your product name or serial number: HP Envy 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-da0000.
- Click "Submit."
- Select your operating system, then expand the "Driver-Graphics" section.
- Download and install the latest drivers for your display/graphics.
2. Update BIOS HP Consumer Notebook PCs - Updating the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) (Windows) | HP® Support
- Navigate to the HP Support.
- Enter HP Envy 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-da0000 and go to "Software, Drivers, and Firmware."
- Select your operating system.
- Expand the "BIOS" section and download the latest version available.
- Follow the instructions to install the update.
3. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the laptop.
- Disconnect all peripheral devices and remove the power adapter.
- Remove the battery (if removable).
- Hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter and battery, then turn on the laptop.
