HP Envy 360

I've found other posts where the Auto-rotate has frozen. Mine has, I've everything suggested and more. This is my last step prior to factory reseting the whole laptop after a backup for content. I have NO auto-rotate button at all. It's gone. Can't search for it. And it isn't in any of the locations that have previously been specified. Please help!!!

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.

Let's try these steps:

  • Open Settings App and go to System > Display.
  • Find Orientation and choose Portrait from the menu.
  • Your device should automatically switch to portrait mode. If the issue persists continue next step

Press Win + R -> type 'regedit' and enter

Registry editor will open up.

Goto path -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AutoRotation

Check the value of Enable file if it is 0 rotation will be OFF, if 1 rotation will be ON.

Restart and Auto rotation will work.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
