Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

So a couple days ago my daughter sat on my laptop keyboard and the screen went black. After going threw the virtual assistants steps I was able to get picture back but now have no backlight so unless I am sitting in dark with a flashlight nothing can be seen. I have tried resetting bios, resetting computer, reseating memory, etc. We got picture back with no backlight by removing the battery and putting it back in but nothing has worked for backlight problem. Can anyone please help I have only had it for a few months but online saying warranty has expired for some reason.
