Bad Graphics for specific games/lag

There are games where I can play flawlessly with beautiful graphics and other games, that do work but with terrible lag/graphics such as "Dirty Bomb" where a simple movement with the mouse will have great delay (probally a whole second delay in movement) with terrible and slow graphics, and many other games. This laptop is a month old and great hardware, I had just reinstalled the HP HD graphics (Intel(R) HD graphics 620) 

Other hardware information; 

Processor-Inter(R)Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz  2.90 GHz

RAM-12.0 GB (11.9 GB useable)

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums. 

I understand that you have an HP Pavilion - 15t-au100 laptop and few games like such as "Dirty Bomb" have performance issues. You experience lag and slow graphics. Thank you for sharing the hardware specifications of your laptop.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

• Did the game work fine since the beginning or did issue start after some updates?
• Have you tried to reinstall the game?
• Do other games which have similar graphics like the Dirty Bomb game have similar problems?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix: 

Here's how you do it:

* Go to Start Menu > click on Settings.

* Type performance > choose Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.

* In the new window, go to the Visual Effects and select Adjust for best performance.

* click Apply and ok...this should do the trick.
