It could be that. Is that a module? If that went bad would that cause the battery to not charge? And the screen to freeze up?

I brought my computer to my son's vocational school where they have a computer tech class. They said the module on the screen is blown and needs to be replaced.

Symptoms we're: for a few months the screen would freeze up until I bent the screen a little at the bottom. Then one day it wouldn't take a charge or turn on while plugged in. Now it's dead.

@HPSUXAZZ

Do you mean a module in the Display Assembly or the Laptop Base???

Please expand on the battery not charging and the screen freeze ups???

Are you able to boot???

Yes it is the module at the bottom of the display as seen in your picture. Would youyknow what it's called and how can I order a replacement?
