HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2K3D8AV)

I have hp 15s eq2042au laptop and i have a question that is there any solution for the bad viewing angle in my laptop. It have full hd micro edge anti glare display and viewing angles are not satisfactory. Only the person sitting in front of the laptop can see from a specific angle and avoiding this will make the screen look white and dark from corners. Therefore is there any solution to do something like a hardware change or anything to improve it ?

Hi @Lakshya_15,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Improving the viewing angles on a laptop display can be a bit tricky, as it's often a limitation of the specific panel used in the laptop. Here are a few things you can try.

  • Adjust Display Settings: Sometimes, adjusting the brightness, contrast, and color settings can make the screen appear better from different angles. Play around with these settings to see if you can find a configuration that works better for off-center viewing.
  • External Monitor: If you frequently need better viewing angles, using an external monitor with better viewing angles might be a solution. Many monitors are designed with wider viewing angles than laptop displays.
  • Anti-Glare Filters: There are screen filters available that can improve viewing angles and also reduce glare. These attach to your screen and can help with privacy as well. Make sure to get one that fits your specific laptop model.
  • Professional Calibration: Sometimes professional calibration can help optimize the display for better viewing angles. There are companies that offer display calibration services, although this may be more of an investment.
  • Hardware Replacement: This is less common and typically more expensive, but in some cases, you might be able to replace the screen with a higher quality panel that offers better viewing angles.
  • Change Viewing Angle: If possible, adjusting the angle at which you view the screen might mitigate the issue. Tilting the screen back or forward can sometimes make the viewing experience better.
  • Software Solutions: There are software tools that can adjust the colors and brightness dynamically based on the viewing angle. However, these are more commonly used in smartphones and tablets rather than laptops.

Ultimately, the viewing angle issue might be inherent to the laptop's display panel, especially in budget or mid-range laptops. Trying out the above suggestions might help improve the situation, but it's unlikely to completely solve the problem if it's a limitation of the display itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
