Hi everyone!
I've got a Victus by HP Laptop 16-d0xxx running Windows 11, and recently, the HDMI ports on my Baseus 11-in-1 hub stopped working with this laptop. They used to work fine up until a few months ago, but now, nothing happens when I connect an HDMI display. The system doesn’t make any sound, and it doesn’t detect the HDMI connection at all.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Reconnected and tested the hub on a different Windows 11 device — and both HDMI ports worked fine there.
- Did a clean reinstall of Windows 11 on my laptop, but the HDMI issue persists.
- All other ports on the hub (USB, Ethernet, SD, etc.) work as expected — just the HDMI ports aren’t detected on my Victus.
No error messages pop up, and there haven’t been any recent driver or software changes right before this issue started. I’m using a wireless internet connection, so nothing with LAN or VPN should be affecting it.
Any ideas on what could be going wrong or any drivers/updates I should check? Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi @pantufl4n
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've already done some solid troubleshooting, but since the HDMI ports on the Baseus 11-in-1 hub worked fine before and now aren’t being recognized by your HP Victus 16-d0xxx (even after a clean reinstall of Windows 11), it suggests there could be an issue with either the hardware settings or the laptop's interaction with external displays. Let’s go over a few things that might help fix the issue.
1. Check Display Settings on Windows 11
Sometimes the issue might be in how Windows is detecting the HDMI output. Follow these steps to manually check if Windows 11 is recognizing the external display:
- Right-click on the desktop and choose Display settings.
- Scroll down to the Multiple displays section.
- Click on Detect to manually trigger Windows to search for connected displays. Sometimes the system might not automatically detect an external display.
- If you see the display listed, you can adjust its settings from here (resolution, orientation, etc.).
2. Check Graphics Drivers
Even though the issue seems specific to the HDMI ports on your hub, sometimes the graphics drivers can cause display issues with external monitors or hubs.
Update or Rollback Graphics Driver:
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Display adapters section.
- Right-click on your graphics driver (it could be an Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA adapter depending on your Victus model) and select Update driver.
- Alternatively, if you recently updated your drivers and the HDMI output stopped working after that, try rolling back the driver to a previous version.
If you have an NVIDIA or AMD graphics card, you may want to check for specific NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Radeon Settings for multi-monitor management to ensure HDMI output is enabled.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
