1. I seldom use the laptop but from the first week I encoutered sudden actions on the screen like I'm touching the screen, while I didn't do anything.

2. Although I don't use this laptop oftenly, after 6months the battery seems to drain within 5 to 10min.

I understand you're experiencing two issues with your HP Spectre x360 14-eu0000, unexpected touchscreen behavior and rapid battery drain. Let's address both step-by-step:

 

Touchscreen Acting on Its Own (Phantom Touches)

This is often caused by hardware interference, driver issues, or environmental factors. Here's what you can try:

Clean the Screen

  • Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth to gently clean the screen. Smudges or moisture can sometimes cause false touches.

Update Touchscreen Drivers

  1. Press Windows + X → Select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Human Interface Devices.
  3. Right-click HID-compliant touch screen → Select Update driver → Choose Search automatically.

Calibrate the Touchscreen

  • Go to Control PanelHardware and SoundTablet PC Settings → Click Calibrate.

BIOS and Firmware Update

Perform a Touchscreen Diagnostic

  • Use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool:
    • Press Esc repeatedly at startup → Press F2 → Choose Component Tests → Select Touch Screen Test.

Battery Draining Quickly After 6 Months

This could be due to battery wear, background processes, or a calibration issue.

Battery Health Check

  • Download and run HP Support Assistant: Download here
  • Go to Battery Check under My NotebookBattery.

BIOS Battery Test

  • Restart your laptop → Press Esc repeatedly → Press F2 → Select Component TestsPowerBattery Test.
