Laptop battery storage is low and touchscreen no longer responding.

If you're experiencing issues with low battery and a non-responsive touchscreen on your HP laptop, follow these steps to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the issues:

Battery Issues

Check Battery Health:

  • Ensure your battery is charging properly. Use the original charger and power adapter.
  • If the battery isn't holding charge, consider running an HP battery diagnostic tool, available on HP's support website.

Battery Optimization:

  • Turn off or uninstall unnecessary apps running in the background.
  • Adjust power settings to balance between performance and battery saving.

Touchscreen Issues

Restart the Device:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve many issues including a non-responsive touchscreen.

Update Drivers:

Touch Screen Calibration:

  • Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Tablet PC Settings. Select "Calibrate" and follow the instructions to recalibrate your touchscreen.

Firmware Update:

  • If you continue to have issues, check for and install any touchscreen firmware updates to improve performance. Detailed steps for firmware updates are available in the troubleshooting content here.

System Updates:

  • Ensure your system's operating system is up to date, as updates can contain fixes for bugs related to hardware issues.
