It's an HP Pavilion that every time it turns on the screen it doesn't show an image and then after several attempts it tells me the BIOS is damaged and I don't know what the problem is due to.

@JERSON98, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding BIOS Issues on HP Pavilion Computers!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It seems like you're experiencing BIOS-related issues on your HP Pavilion computer. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:

Steps to Resolve BIOS Issues:

Power Reset:

  • Turn off your computer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Remove the battery if it's a notebook.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual electrical charge.
  • Plug in the power adapter and turn the computer on again.

BIOS Recovery:

  • Turn on the computer and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
  • Press F2 to select System Diagnostics.
  • If the diagnostics indicate a BIOS problem, follow the instructions to update or recover the BIOS.

Update the BIOS:

  • If the computer starts, go to the HP support website: HP Drivers & Support.
  • Enter your product model to find your computer's support page.
  • Download the latest BIOS update available for your computer model.
  • Follow the instructions provided to complete the BIOS update.

Replace the CMOS Battery:

  • Sometimes a depleted CMOS battery can cause BIOS issues. Replace the CMOS battery on the motherboard and restart the computer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
