HP Envy or Pavillion
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Still in the market...

I configured this:

  • Windows 10 Home 64
  • Intel® Core™ i7-10750H (2.6 GHz, up to 5 GHz, 12 MB L3 cache, 6 cores) + NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2070 Super™ with Max-Q design (8 GB)
  • 32 GB DDR4-2933 SDRAM (2 x 16 GB)
  • 15.6" diagonal FHD, 300 Hz, IPS, anti-glare, micro-edge, WLED-backlit, 300 nits (1920 x 1080)
  • 1 TB 7200 rpm SATA; 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
  •
  • HP 3 year w/Accidental Damage
  • Office Software Trial
  • Security Software Trial
  • 6-cell, 69 Wh Li-ion polymer
  • No DVD or CD Drive
  • Full-size island-style dragon red legend 1-zone lighting red backlit keyboard with numeric keypad and 26-Key Rollover
  • HP Wide Vision HD Camera with integrated dual array digital microphone
  • Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX 201 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 5 combo (Supporting Gigabit file transfer speeds)
  •
  • OMEN by HP 15 Laptop PC $2279.98

But, it's price tag is several hundred dollars above what I configured above. Is there such a difference in the specs to account for this?

Also, I configured:

  • Shadow Black with Ghost White
  • Windows 10 Home 64
  • Intel® Core™ i7-10750H (2.6 GHz, up to 5 GHz, 12 MB L3 cache, 6 cores) + NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2060 w/Max-Q design (6 GB)
  • 16 GB DDR4-2933 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)
  • 16.1" diagonal FHD, 144 Hz, IPS, anti-glare, micro-edge, WLED-backlit, 300 nits (1920 x 1080)
  • 1 TB 7200 rpm SATA; 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
  •
  • HP 3 year w/Accidental Damage
  • Office Software Trial
  • Security Software Trial
  • 3-cell, 52.5 Wh Lithium-ion prismatic Battery
  • No DVD or CD Drive
  • Full-size, ghost white backlit, shadow black keyboard with numeric keypad
  • HP TrueVision 720p HD camera with integrated dual array digital microphone
  • Realtek Wi-Fi 5 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 5 Combo (MU-MIMO supported)
  •
  •
  • HP Pavilion Gaming 16 Laptop PC $1677.98

I am not a professional video producer, I do however hope to be able to get there. I need a machine that will suit by burgeoning needs. I am a student and will apply for THAT discount. I also will seek further discounts when dealing with a sales representative. I do not believe in paying full retail on products that have been sitting around for months while newer technology waits to unleash itself on the public with exorbitant price markups.

Please advise.

Thank you for your attention.
