Bezel cracked

Hello,

The display's bezel is now cracked, without the laptop being dropped/having something dropped on it at any moment. 

I have attached a picture. The laptop was always transported with proper care, in an HP laptop bag nevertheless.

There are no other signs of damage (on the lid, nearby, nowhere). It really is disappointing that for such a high price (1100 euros) the build quality is this bad.

With no signs of damage, is this covered by warranty?
