Pavilion Power - 15-cb010nt
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hi i noticed recetly the intel hd 630 shows that my laptops screen is 6 bit. when i plugged in external monitor via hdmi its 8 bit. i saw another subject on this forum tells the same thing. i'm using the latest dch drivers of intel and the latest nvidia drivers.

i tried to install the old drivers from hp for my laptop but it has the same problem too.

by the way when i uninstall intel driver and use windows generic driver it turns to 8-bit.

pc: Pavilion Power - 15-cb010nt

cpu: i5 7300 hq

gpu: intel hd 630 and nvidia gtx 1050

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

This computer shipped with 39.6 cm (15.6") diagonal FHD IPS anti-glare WLED-backlit (1920 x 1080

With the resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Bit depth will be 6, However, when the display is connected to an external monitor the Bit depth will be 8 due to higher display resolution.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
