Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Alright, so basically, there is a growing black spot in the right corner of my laptop. I think there might be a crack or something, and that monitor liquid is coming through that crack. At first, I thought it was a big patch of dead pixels, but after reaserching a lot, I learned that it is more than likely monitor liquid. In the beginning, the black spot was very small, and hardly covered anything. However, now, it has covered up a moderate amount of my right corner, and has even covered up the "Am/Pm" part of the time.
I still have 8 months of warranty left on my laptop from when I bought it, so I'd like to know if there's a way for me to get this fixed.
Thanks in advance

Hello, @HonestyCookieSs - Greetings!

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Forums! I’d like to help with the printer issue 🙂

I see that you are having trouble with the laptop screen. This looks like a hardware issue with the laptop. Just to be sure, just check the laptop in the BIOS screen.

Restart the PC and immediately start tapping on the ESC key to get the startup screen. From there access the BIOS menu. If the black spot is visible even in the BIOS window, then the issue is with the notebook display and I’d suggest you contact the HP phone support to get it serviced under warranty.

HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Good luck 🙂

Hi, I am facing the same problem. I would like to know if this is covered in the warranty considering that the laptop hasn't fallen or damaged ?
