Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, my HP Elitebook from 2020 turns on but with a full black screen. If I connect an external monitor, I see a balck screen with a cursor working on it, so would like to move/mirror whatever is on the laptop screen to the monitor but so far was not able to do so. I used the F1 key with and without fn, and nothing. Not sure if it's showing the Windows login screen, some Bios page (I followed instructions to reset the Bios) or what. Any suggestion.is more than welcome!

See section <Running HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI tests when Windows doesn't start>

As I said in the original post, I can't see what's on the screen at any moment. I'd like to know if there's an easy way to mirror the laptop screen to an external monitor as the laptop starts up, so I can see the diagnosis screen.

Try ...

(1) Connect external monitor via vga/hdmi cable

(2) Power on external monitor (select correct source)

(3) Power on notebook
