Blue dots appear on dark screen but not on white or other screen

There's no fix to this such a bad service from HP. They say it's not under warranty. They will charge for this fix even though my product is under warranty? What's the need of repairing then, Such a bad service from HP very disappointed... it's my first and last product from Hp

Hi @1Binit,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issues you're facing with your HP Victus laptop and the experience you've had with HP's customer service. The appearance of blue dots on the screen, especially on darker backgrounds, often indicates a problem with the display itself, such as dead or stuck pixels, or it could be related to a graphics card issue.

Potential Causes and Troubleshooting Steps

Stuck or Dead Pixels: Blue dots could be due to stuck pixels on the screen, which are pixels that are always on or always off. This issue is more noticeable on darker backgrounds.

  • Troubleshooting: There are software tools and websites designed to help fix stuck pixels by rapidly changing colors and brightness, which might help to "wake up" the stuck pixel. You can try using one of these tools to see if it resolves the issue.

Graphics Driver Issue: Sometimes, graphical glitches can be caused by outdated or corrupt graphics drivers.

  • Update Drivers: Ensure your graphics drivers are up-to-date. You can do this by going to the HP website or the graphics card manufacturer's site (like NVIDIA or AMD) and downloading the latest drivers for your hardware.
  • Reinstall Drivers: If updating doesn’t work, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the graphics drivers to see if this resolves the issue.

Display Settings and Cables: Check your display settings to ensure there are no unusual settings that might cause this issue. If you’re using an external monitor, try a different cable or port to rule out connection issues.

Hardware Issue: If the issue persists, it could be a hardware defect, such as a problem with the screen itself or the internal connections.

I hope this helps.
