I don't know what happened. One minute everything is working fine, then suddenly every time I use the start menu search, the text has become unreadable. On the menu after pressing the windows button everything is fine, but it becomes unreadable if I try to search anything up

@JayFabu, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Thanks for sharing the screenshots! From what you've described and shown, it looks like the text in your Windows 11 Start menu search results becomes unreadable, even though everything else appears normal.
Here’s how you can fix it step by step:
Restart Windows Explorer
This often fixes display glitches like this:
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Find Windows Explorer under the “Processes” tab.
Right-click it and select Restart.
Toggle High Contrast Settings (to Refresh UI)
Press Windows + I to open Settings.
Go to Accessibility > Contrast themes.
Temporarily change it to any theme, click Apply, then change it back to None and apply again.
Update or Reinstall Graphics Driver
Sometimes a buggy display driver can cause UI issues.
Right-click Start → select Device Manager.
Expand Display adapters.
Right-click your GPU→ click Update driver → Search automatically.
Alternatively, go to HP’s support page and manually reinstall the latest driver for your laptop model.
Rebuild Windows Search Index
Just in case the glitch is deeper in the search:
Open Settings > Privacy & security > Searching Windows.
Click Advanced indexing options.
In the new window, click Advanced, then click Rebuild under “Troubleshooting.”
Check for Corrupt System Files
To scan and repair damaged system components:
Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
Run these one by one:
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
