Product: E24d G4
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Setting up a new system.  HP Laptop, Monitor with internal docking station (E24D G4) and another HP Monitor.  I'm getting the same screen on both Monitors, even when I close the laptop.  I want to be able to have extended screens.  How do I fix?

You go into Display Setting and change the settings under Multiple Displays from Mirror to Extended.
