Hi @Gob23,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Dark spots on your screen, especially if they're increasing in number and flickering, can indicate a few potential issues:

Possible Causes

Dead or Stuck Pixels: These are pixels that aren’t functioning correctly. If they're stuck, they may appear as dark spots.

Screen Damage: If there’s been any physical impact or pressure on the screen, it could lead to issues like this.

Backlight Issues: Dark spots can also indicate problems with the backlight. If certain areas aren't receiving adequate light, they can appear darker.

Display Connector Issues: Loose or damaged connections within the screen assembly might cause flickering or dark areas.

Software Issues: While less likely, sometimes graphics drivers or display settings can cause problems. However, since you mentioned the spots are physical, this is probably not the main issue.

Recommendations

Pixel Fixer Tools: You can try using software tools designed to fix stuck pixels by rapidly cycling colors. These sometimes help revive stuck pixels.

Inspect for Damage: Check if there’s any visible damage to the screen. If there are pressure points, they could be causing the dark spots.

Update Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause display issues.

May i know do you see it in BIOS screen as well?

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
